Hair loss is very common and occurs with both men and women. About half of all men and 40 percent of women have some hair loss by age fifty. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, over 50 million American men and 30 million American women are experiencing hair loss. It may be as a result of genetics, a medical condition, modern day stress and other factors in our lives. Most hair loss in men, usually begins with a receding hairline and thinning at the crown and progresses as they gets older. Females suffering from hair loss tend to maintain their hairline and thin diffusely behind it.
